We are excited to be working with Amnesty International UK (AIUK) again with their board recruitment.

“AIUK seeks a board member who will provide high-level human resource expertise and influence on their policy and the strategic decisions they make across a whole range of issues. In this role, you will “chair the HR Sub-Committee, advising on the decisions made by the HRSC to the Board/Trustees of AIUK Charitable Trust and you will also be a key member of our Joint Consultative Committee, advising on the HR affairs of Amnesty International UK at Board level. Working in a demanding job or retired, we realise it’s a big commitment to make. But then, so is campaigning to eradicate human rights abuses. By joining us in this role, you’ll strengthen our ability to do just that”.

About you
You will need to have a strong background in human resources management at a senior management level, bringing an in-depth knowledge of the strategic planning and best practice employed in similarly complex organisations. “Experience of the voluntary sector, an awareness of the HR issues affecting charities, embedding diversity and Inclusions as well as successfully working with unions would also be an advantage. However, whether you’re advising the Board directly or presenting to a wider audience, more important will be your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll also be fully signed up to our aims and see this as a great opportunity to make a bigger and more immediate contribution to the work that we do”.
