Inclusive Boards is proud to collaborate with Choice Support in their search for a new trustee. You should have experience in a senior position within social care and be passionate about helping others achieve their goals.
Choice Support is a charity providing social care and housing to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. We support over 2500 people across England, from Yorkshire to the south coast, we employ approximately 2600 staff and have an income of over £66M pa. Our purpose is to create opportunities for happiness. We value people for who they are, we expect everyone we support to be respected in society and we support people to live the life they choose.
We are now looking for a Trustee with senior experience working in the social care sector.
We are seeking to be an inclusive organisation and we value the positive impact that diversity brings to our work. We would particularly welcome applications from women, as they are currently underrepresented on our Board.
You will need to be willing to commit the time and energy that the role requires and have a strong personal commitment to the charity's vision and values. We want Trustees who can help support us to help make a positive difference to the lives of the people we support.
For this role it would be beneficial if you had experience of working in a Local Authority or working for a provider delivering services.
New trustees are provided with induction, training and on-going support to help fulfil their responsibilities.
There are 4 Board meetings a year plus an annual away day and committee meetings. Meetings are currently held virtually but they may return to our offices in Central London and Kent in the future, as well as in our other locations nationally. Meeting times can be arranged to suit Trustees’ availability.
These are voluntary positions but travelling and other out of pocket expenses are paid.
Interviews will take place on 24 and 30 January 2023 via Teams.
