The UK’s largest charity supporting blind and visually impaired individuals has appointed Inclusive Boards to support its search for new trustees. Most commonly known as RNIB, the organisation was founded by Thomas Rhodes Armitageand in 1868 and received its Royal Charter in 1948.

RNIB are currently looking for talented individuals to join the Charity Board of Trustees and particularly want to hear from candidates who have a background in managing customer service and those with experience in managing cultural change. Because they are keen to reflect the diversity of their service users, Inclusive Boards have been commission to particularly help to attract female candidates as well as candidates form Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.

“We are delighted to be working with Inclusive Boards. RNIB is passionate about improving the lives of blind and partially sighted people and those at risk of sight loss. In 2014, we set out a new five-year strategy and our Group Ambition to make every day better for everyone affected by sight loss by being there when people need us, supporting independent living, creating an inclusive society and preventing sight loss.” –  Chair, RNIB board of trustees
