Charity Sector

The sector today

Inclusive Boards began its work supporting the charity sector, and continues to do so today. Our extensive activity in this sector means we are well versed with the evolving challenges and triumphs within. We also publish diversity data for the biggest charities once every two years.

Charities felt significant strain from COVID-19. 30% with a pre-covid income of under 100k saw over half their income lost. 32% of charities saw decreased access to volunteers, and 57% surveyed reported an increased demand for services.

The Charity Digital Skills Report 2022 showed 64% of boards’ digital skills critical to improving impact, extending reach, and increasing cost effectiveness have room for improvement. For the sector to evolve sustainably, these skills shortages must be filled.
