Inclusive Boards is delighted to be supporting Resuscitation Council UK in their search for a Trustee.

Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) is a Charitable Trust, established in 1983 by Trust Deed and became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2016. RCUK is committed to ensuring that survival rates for in and out of hospital cardiac arrest improve by driving CPR education, and encouraging everyone, from healthcare workers to the general public, to learn life-saving resuscitation skills.

The Council is seeking to recruit a Trustee whose duties include:

• To exercise their powers and to perform their functions as a Trustee of RCUK in the way they decide is in good faith would be most likely to further the purposes of RCUK.
• To exercise, in the performance of those functions, such care and skill as is reasonable in the circumstances having regard in particular to any special knowledge, experience or professional expertise that they may have.

RCUK is especially keen to recruit a Trustee with specific expertise in digital / health tech, AND/OR Not for Profit (NFP) income generation – someone who can advise and challenge us in relation to how we may diversify our income and transform the delivery of our services. The person specification for this opportunity is as follows: 

• Be able to act as an energetic and informed advocate for RCUK’s work – you share our energy and positivity. 
• Can devote time, enthusiasm and effort to the duties and responsibilities of being a Trustee. 
• Have great strategic insight. 
• Independent judgement and willingness to challenge. 
• Commitment to the ethos and values of the organisation. 
• Have the ability to powerfully articulate the importance of RCUK’s work.
