Third Annual Rawls Diversity Symposium

The third annual Rawls Diversity Symposium took place this year, in early September at the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business in Texas.

The symposium takes place each year, seeking to encourage diversity within typically uniformed occupational sectors.

The purpose of symposium was set to provide perspectives from those in academia and in the workforce. The topic in discussion was on positive effects diversity has both economically and socially.

The event included panelists working in community engagement offices, administrators as well as professors.

“The third annual Rawls Diversity Symposium expresses the commitment the Rawls College of Business has to creating opportunities for important conversations regarding diversity and inclusion,” says Dean Margaret William.

Knowledge of steps being taken towards diversity on global scales aid a sense of awareness of a collective efforts being made towards inclusion beyond tolerance.
